Brown Trout are widespread and breed in Anglesey's lakes; Rainbow Trout are stocked in some of the lakes; Sea Trout run up several of the rivers and streams and Salmon are an occassional catch.
The Island's three principal centres for game fishing are: Llyn Alaw, covering nearly 800 acres (324 hectares), for fly fishing, worming and spinning, with Brown and Rainbow Trout and also stocks of Rudd; Llyn Cefni Reservoir, 175 acres (71 hectares), a fly fishing centre for Brown and Rainbow Trout and Llyn Coron, an 80 acre (32 hectares) lake, famed for its Brown Trout, as well as Sea Trout, which run up the River Ffraw into the lake. Llyn Coron also features stocks of Perch.
