Guided walks on the coastal path

The Friends of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path (FOACP) run a guided walks programme throughout the year: walks are generally once a month on a Saturday, Sunday or Wednesday.

Walks are broadly of two types: longer ones of 6-8 miles and shorter ones of 3-4 miles. The former are generally more challenging and the latter tailored rather more for those wanting a more leisurely outing.

Most walks are circular in nature, incorporating sections of the Coastal Path linked with inland routes. All walks are informal, offering an ideal atmosphere in which both to meet and to make friends. Depending upon the leader, walks may, e.g., offer insights into local birdlife, history or geology. At the end of a walk, especially the shorter ones, we often contrive to sample the local food and drink.

You don’t need to be a FOACP to join a walk, newcomers are always most welcome to come along and sample a walk.

Information on planned walks is given below and further details can be found at the website of FOACP: https://sites.google.com/site/friendsofangleseycoastalpath/walks.

Please wear walking boots / shoes, suitable clothing and bring refreshments. On some walks dogs may not be allowed.
