Active and Outdoors

Making the most of the great outdoors is easy on Anglesey, as the great outdoors is something we have plenty of. And you can explore it in any way you like – on foot, by bike or by sea.

Action lovers will be drawn to one of the many sporting events hosted annually on the island. Try the challenging Anglesey leg of the Endurance Life Coastal Trail Series, taking in Holyhead Mountain and Trearddur Bay beach, among other areas. Get involved in the Anglesey Walking Festival, a two-week event for walkers of all ages and abilities or enjoy our popular cycling sportive, the Tour de Môn - are you brave enough to do the 106 mile tour mawr starting at Newry beach in Holyhead?

With over 125 miles of unspoilt coastline it comes as no surprise that there are plenty of water sports to enjoy on Anglesey, including windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and much, much more. It’s easy to experience the beautiful landscapes without getting too wet, by walking along our stunning coastal path, or taking to the saddle – be that a bike or on horse back – with many opportunities right on your doorstep.
