March Manouche is a UK Gypsy Jazz festival that takes place in Menai Bridge, Anglesey, North Wales. Initially focussing on only UK acts, the festival is now growing to welcome acts from all over the world. The festival takes place over a weekend in March, and includes concerts and workshops from some of the best players in Gypsy Jazz. With both scheduled jams in friendly local pubs and a jamming friendly campsite, you can play 24 hours a day!The idea for March Manouche Festival came after the founders, Stewart, Neil, and Meg, visited Cloughtoberfest in Ireland in October 2014. Starting their own festival was briefly talked about in the car on the return journey. By the next day, somewhat to Neil and Meg's surprise, Stewart had built a website, set up a festival PayPal and made a Facebook page- March Manouche was born!2017 saw the festival's first international acts; Jorge Bravo from Chile and Dario Napoli from Italy. In 2018, the main festival sold out quickly, following the announcement of Angelo DeBarre as the headlining act. A series of acoustic Fringe concerts were also added for the first time. The coming March Manouche festival is set to be bigger and better than ever, and the whole team can't wait to welcome you back to Menai Bridge for a swinging weekend of toe-tapping Gypsy Jazz.
