Holyhead Sailing Club

The club provides racing at all levels for yachts. Squib keelboats and dinghy classes, including Toppers, and there is a large cruising fleet.
Holyhead Sailing Club, based in the historic Holyhead harbour, Anglesey, was founded in 1905 as the Porth-y-Felin Sailing Club. Since then its range of racing and cruising yachts has steadily expanded. The Club's stated aim is simply to "support & encourage sailing" and with over 600 members and moorings for up to 170 boats we are well placed to support those aims.
Holyhead harbour is a 'harbour of refuge' with one of the longest breakwaters in the UK, built on Ynys Wellt and completed in 1873. The harbour is safe, substantially tides free and is accessible at all states of the tide, all weathers and all sea conditions.
