Festivals and events
Let us entertain you!
Anglesey is a little island with big ambitions. That’s reflected in our diverse and dynamic entertainments scene. It’s an engaging year-round programme that features everything from arty gatherings to agricultural shows, motor racing to sailing competitions, foodie feasts to local fairs.
Star events include the lip-smacking Menai Seafood Festival, salty Lifeboat Days at Moelfre and Trearddur Bay, medieval re-enactments at Beaumaris Castle, family fun days at the National Trust’s Plas Newydd, wildlife walks, sailing regattas on the Menai Strait and the Tour de Môn cycling sportive.
There’s something happening most weeks – either racing or track days – at Trac Môn, the motor racing circuit perched on the west coast that’s reckoned to be the most scenic in the UK. And the County Showground, smack in the middle of the island at Gwalchmai, plays host to the annual Anglesey Show, a must-visit colourful rural jamboree.
Be sure to check out what’s happening here. And if it’s not listed, find out more by asking locally for the inside line on what’s on.
