Family friendly: Its all go!
It’s all go in Llangefni, Anglesey’s county town and ‘capital’.

Swimming, skateboarding, crazy golfing, heritage, art and crafts and shopping … take your pick on this lively tour.
Choose first between swimming or skateboarding (you won’t be able to fit both of them in). Splash around at Plas Arthur Leisure Centre’s indoor pool, or take the kids to Llangefni Skatepark.
It’s an action-packed all-concrete park based on a street design with rails, ledges, stairs, hips, a gap, funbox and large curved quarter pipe ramp at the far end. There’s also a basketball court in one corner. It’s not just a big hit with skateboarders – scooterists and BMX riders are welcome too.
Next on the list is a visit to Golf Môn at Llangefni, the only multi-purpose golf driving range in Anglesey.

Llangefni’s Oriel Môn attracts all ages. This leading art gallery and museum gives an instant insight into the island, its history, wildlife and culture. There’s also an excellent museum shop with a unique selection of gifts, books, toys, jewellery and art and craft materials.
The shop makes a point of showcasing products made by local craftworkers, with the emphasis on striking design and high quality. You’ll also find good shopping in Llangefni itself, with a choice of interesting and independent outlets. For the buzz – and bargains – of open-air markets, come on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Keep an eye open for special events held at attractions throughout the island, ranging from medieval re-enactments to conservation projects, fairs to festivals.
And make a date to visit the Anglesey Showground at Gwalchmai, home of major summer and winter shows.
